When Jesus Asks for All of Me

Hi Friends, Thanks for reflecting the scriptures with me.

Today, we had our monthly prayer at home, and it was such a blessing to have so many from our church come together and pray for our family. During the prayer, Psalm 68:13 reminded me that the Lord chooses us. Among so many, He chose me and set me apart for His missions. How grateful I am. ❤️

After some long hours of sleep, I woke up and ate the word from Mark 12. And one thing kept coming back to me. Oh, and that is... LOVE. Jesus says to love the Lord with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and to love our neighbour as ourselves. Not 50%. Not when I feel like it. ALL. And honestly, somehow, that "all" feels so big! Do I really love God with all of me? Or are there parts of me that I still keep for myself?

And then I saw the poor widow. Two tiny coins. That's it. Yet Jesus noticed her... Everyone else probably saw how little she gave, but Jesus saw that she gave out of everything she had. Aww, I found it so beautiful! Jesus looks differently. He sees what people cannot see.. the heart behind what we do. And I wondered, when I serve, give, pray or do something for God, am I doing it to be seen by people, or because I genuinely love him?

A Christovert is someone who follows Jesus and desires to become like him. And Mark 12 reminds me that becoming like Jesus isn't about doing impressive things. It is about loving God completely and loving people genuinely.

Precious Holy Spirit, teach me to love like Jesus... with my whole heart, without pretending, without seeking attention. Abba, Let my life quietly look more and more like Him. Help the readers too. Father God, I love You!
