In this passage, Job explains how powerful, mighty, and majestic our God is. He describes how wonderfully God has created the world and how all creation stands in awe of Him. In Job 26:5, he says that the dead tremble at His presence, and even the heavens tremble at His rebuke (verse 11). Job further describes God's mighty works - how He established the earth, stretched out the heavens, and displayed His authority over creation and evil (verses 7 - 13). These things reveal that God is sovereign, powerful, and far beyond our understanding.
Reflection:
Even though our God is so mighty and holds all authority, He deals with us gently and quietly. He speaks to us and draws near to us with love. This reminds me that the same God who created and rules over everything is also our loving Father. His character does not change, and His love for His people is unchanging and unconditional.
As Job 26:14 says, “These are but the outskirts of his ways” what we see is only a small glimpse of His greatness. Therefore, I want to stand in awe of His majesty, trust in His power, and remain thankful for His unfailing love.
Your quiet time isn't just for you.
