The One who saves

Job 36:19

“Will your riches, or all the mighty forces, keep you from distress?”

There are no riches, no powers, no mighty forces, and no person, not a single person who can keep you away from distress. But there is a God whom I know and who knows me and everyone, even before this world came into being.

There is a God who is above all powers and dominions, all thrones and kingdoms. He is the King of Peace who walks on water just to save you from drowning.

Drowning in your thoughts, anxiety, depression, or any circumstances, He is mighty to save.

In my distress, the only name or person I turn to is my Saviour, Jesus Christ, He came from heaven to show us the way. Though we were sinners he saved us from eternal death.

Christ never says that He will take away all the pain or distress, but He promises us that He will be with us in that pain.

In the end, it all turns out for our good.
