The God Who Sees, Remembers, and Is Always Faithful

During my quiet time today, I spent the morning reading Proverbs Ch 1 & 2 and the evening meditating on 1 Samuel 1 :1–28. As I reflected on these passages, I was reminded of several beautiful truths about God's character.

The first thing that deeply struck me was Hannah's story. Even in seasons of waiting, God doesn't leave us empty-handed. Hannah remained childless for many years because God had closed her womb, yet He didn't leave her without His goodness. God had given her a loving husband who cared deeply for her. It reminded me that while God may delay one blessing, He continues to pour out His grace in countless other ways. He is a God who compensates even in our waiting.

Another truth that encouraged me was found in Hannah's prayer. She cried out to the God who sees our pain, remembers us, and never forgets what we truly need. The words, "the Lord remembered her" and "in the course of time" stayed with me throughout the day. God's timing is never late. He works beyond our timeline, and in His perfect time, He accomplishes His perfect will.

Hannah's response also challenged me. She never stopped pouring out her heart before the Lord, even in the midst of her sorrow. And when God answered her prayer, she didn't forget the promise she had made. She returned to testify of His faithfulness and worship Him. I want my own life to reflect that kind of faith, not only praying while I wait but also returning with gratitude, obedience, and worship when God answers.

From Proverbs 1 and 2, I was reminded that God's Word gives wisdom, understanding, and discernment. The more I treasure His Word, the more I will walk in wisdom instead of following my own desires. His Word doesn't merely fill my mind with information; it transforms the way I live and draws my heart closer to Him.

One verse that especially challenged me was Proverbs 2:3–4. It doesn't simply tell us to desire wisdom. It calls us to cry out for understanding and seek it like hidden treasure. Honestly, I'm not there yet, but I pray that God will continue to grow that kind of hunger within me.

As I reflected on today's reading, I came away with a deeper appreciation for who God is.

1. He is the God who sees.

2. He is the God who remembers.

3. He is the God who compensates.

4. He is the God who grants in His perfect time.

5. He is the God who is always faithful.

He's so cool, and a GENIUS God!
