Tested, Tempted, Still Held

James 1:12-18

Dear Holy Spirit,

Please draw me close to you. Don't let my heart stray from you. Your word says that you put me through tests so that I will one day receive the crown of life, because I love you.

I am tempted everyday..

I admit it's only because I'm lured & enticed by my ungodly desires, that I fall in to these temptations. Sometimes, the act may be as simple as scrolling on Instagram, but the ungodly desire behind it might be subtle & sinful.

Holy Spirit, help me heed your voice.
I believe father that you don't change who you are, even as much as the shadow shifts when the light moves. You are good & perfect all the time and you give good and perfect gifts all the time, whether it makes me happy, or it makes me question, "Why this trial again!"

Thank you Abba for bringing me forth by your gospel into a new birth

Help me live in a manner worthy of it.
