Matthew 1 & Revelation 1:12-20

Today I ate Matthew 1 and Revelation 1:12-20. Two very different passages, but both made me look at Jesus a little more closely! Also, by the way, I’ve been watching "The Chosen" and I’m in Season 2 now. And it’s going good.. It’s been nice seeing the Gospel stories being brought to life while I’m also eating the word for myself!

Matthew 1 reminded me that God works through ordinary people and complicated stories. The genealogy has so many names and stories behind it, but right in the middle of it all is my JESUS. And Joseph choosing obedience when he didn’t fully understand everything really stood out to me!

Then in Revelation, John sees Jesus in His glory and falls at his feet. But Jesus says, "Do not be afraid." The same Jesus who is so holy and powerful is also the One who comes near and comforts His people. He says, "I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One. I was dead, and now look, I am alive forever and ever." I JUST WANT TO KNOW THIS JESUS MORE.

These two scriptures actually challenges me to be more like Christ - to be a Christovert!HOW?Obedience even when I don’t understand everything. Reverence for Jesus, while also knowing that I can come near to Him without fear...

Precious Holy Spirit, keep showing me Jesus through Your word and make me more like Him. Abbah, I’m depending on You. Please bless the readers as well.
Father God, Thank You so much for loving me this much. I love you too!

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
